Are storage agents useful? Did not report status change.

Hallo everybody!
I reinstalled my Proliant 6400R with SmartArray 3200 controller recently. I also installed the 5.40A version of SupportPaq on my Windows 2000 server. I wanted to test the Storage Agents so I began experimenting with the drives in my configured, partitioned and formatted array: First I removed one drive from one slot. Then I inserted to that slot one buggy drive (it is waiting for replacement) which usually function properly but only until next boot. Then I inserted one drive to one unoccupied slot and finally put back everything to original state.

Of course, the rebuild of RAID 5 array occurredd, spare drive was turned on and possibly other things happened. My question now is why I did not found even single event or warning that something (bad) was happening in Event Log or Integrated Management Log?
