Array not rebuilding after drive replacement
ML370, Integrated Array Controller, NW4.11, 3 x 9Gb Drives RAID5, 1x Logical Drive
After a drive failure one of the disks was replaced, but the array is not rebuilding as it should. Insight manager is showing the Logical Drive as being "ready for rebuild", "Rebuild % = N/A" and in "Distributed data guard" and all three physical drives green.
The Novell CPQONLIN array configuration utility is showing the Array as being "QUEUED"
The server has been in this state for 3 days - with at least 2 x full power off resets and 2 x differentt replacement drives.

Re: Array not rebuilding after drive replacement
Symptom: Rebuild of replacement/spare drive does not begin.
Typically this is caused by another bad drive in the RAID set. To determine this, run the ADU by booting to the Smart Start CD, save the report by choosing 'File', 'Save Report', and do a search for 'Hrd Read' and 'Hrd Write'. If these numbers are anything above '0', the Array will not rebuild. Your only option at this point is to replace the drives and rebuild the array. Before doing this, ensure the firmware on the controller is up to date.
