AutoRaid 12H Manager

I' tryinf to set up the AutoRaid Manager on NT to manage my 12H on a UNIX box.

I followed the advices

1. Verify that the NT userid (NT username = HP-UX userid) is valid
on the HP-UX server and that the userid has the adm group as it's
primary group.

2.Add host and userid to the /etc/hosts.equiv file.

I still can't manage my 12H because AutoRaid Manager keeps saying I don't have the necessary rights.

On the UNIX box I have the following message in syslog.log

Aug 22 14:28:31 mars syslog: HP Advanced Disk Array serial number ?: Ear::Listen():recv,connectType

He's a real UNIX Man, sitting in his UNIX LAN making all his UNIX plans for nobody ...

Why are you using an NT to manage your 12H??

What are you trying to accomplish?

Re: AutoRaid 12H Manager

Hi,

In the installation guide there's also something mentioned about a shared disk on NT. You'll need to share a directory (I think it's shared name is Admin?!) to be able to connect to the AutoRaid.
On the other hand if you do not need the graphics, just use the hpux commandline.

HTH,
