AutoRaid 12H message in syslog

I see the following message in syslog:

Oct 26 14:14:32 L0559 syslog: HP Advanced Disk Array serial number 0000003F99BC:
Optimization completed: Product Revision: HP62: Product ID: C5447A

I am wondering what it means? Could it slow down disk access? I have check logprint, arryalog, and arraydsp and found no hardware problems.

Thanks
testing is for wimps.....

Re: AutoRaid 12H message in syslog

Optimization in this case is when the AutoRaid automatically migrates data between Raid 5 and Raid 1+0 so that data is optimally available. It *may* slow down access temporarily, but it really shouldn't. Also, there is nothing you can do about this. This is done automatically within the array and it can't be turned off.

Re: AutoRaid 12H message in syslog

Hello,

It happens by design of AutoRAID. There is nothing wrong with it.
