B320i - Dynamic Sector Repairing + chkdsk

I've read that to use chkdsk for a Raid, which seems likely, a constitency check must be run before in order for the underlying disk structure to be intact and checked.
For the B320i Raid controller, the Dynamic Sector Repairing continually performs background surface scans on the hard disk drives during inactive periods.
1) For the DSR to be active, the hard drives must be in a fault-tolerant configuration. So it's active for Raid 1, 5, ... but not Raid 0?
2) How can we be sure, that the drives are consistent before running chkdsk if the check is in background and that there is no command to do a full check?
3) The idle time before the DSR to run is configurable between 1 to 30 seconds. If the Raid is often accessed, is there a chance for the hard drive to be fully checked?

Best regards.
