Background Parity Initilization
We have a RA4000 with 5 - 9 gig drives and we recently added 4 additional 9 gig drives. SQL 7 is running on the array. The volume expansion did not take very long. The problem we have now is with Background Parity Initilization, this has been running for 10+ hours. The ACU is set for medium priority, what kind of time frame can we expect for the parity initilization to complete?

Re: Background Parity Initilization
It can take up to 30 minutes per GB of the total array. 9 x 9 x 30 / 2 = 41.5 hours. So it could take another day, before the post message goes away and performance goes back to normal.
