Battery Failure in Smart Array 642 controller
I just upgraded a Proliant ML370 G3 server's Smart Array 642 controller with a BBWC battery cache module. Everything seemed to go well(additional memory was properly recognized, etc.), but about an hour after upgrading the controller I got a notice that the battery had failed.
I'm concerned that the battery wasn't being charged...
Other than the failed battery, everything appears to be fine.
Has anyone run into this before?
Below is the system event error...

Re: Battery Failure in Smart Array 642 controller
What version of the HP Management Agents are you running?
Do you use the Remote Insight boards? If so did you recently upgrade your firmware to the newest version?
I just started getting these message as well, but it wasn't until I upgraded my agents and firmware.
I am still researching this also.

Re: Battery Failure in Smart Array 642 controller
I have just purchased a Proliant ML350. I receive the same error!! I think I'll try the new Firmware upgrade.
