Boot/system partition on raid 1 or raid 5?
Are there any disadvantaged to have one raid 5 and one partition acting boot/system partition e. x. c: (winNT4 Win2000) and one partition ex. d:
for the data?
Or (I have heard) that the best is one RAID 1 for boot/system and one RAID 5 for the data.
What is the best and why?

It is a very good explanation of different RAID Types and what works best. Some of the Compaq Controllers will not support some of the levels they talk about.
