CVEVA v5 Direct Mgmt URL
I am NOT talking about this URL https://ipaddress:2381/command_view_eva because that does not work.
Does anyone remember this?

Re: CVEVA v5 Direct Mgmt URL
Isn't the port 2372 or did this change? I also thought in this old command view you first log on to the sma and in there click on cv, maybe you can find it that yay?
Also isn't it possible to see on which port the server is listening and find it that way?

Re: CVEVA v5 Direct Mgmt URL
for Older version of CV there is no direct short cut visible on desktop, first you need to login to System Mnagement home page, there you can found the link for CV.
The system management home page version also will be very old like version 3.x etc.
Else as a work around you can try by installing CV Version 6 so that you will get a direct link "https://ipaddress:2381/command_view_eva ".

Re: CVEVA v5 Direct Mgmt URL
The old versions of CV were accessible thru the SMH but even after you connected you could see that the SMH was forwarding to a different URL. That is the URL I am after. I did do a netstat to find the listening ports but what I am missing is the text after the port number in the URL.
Sivaramakrishna,
You are correct. The link to CV is from the SMH. But in this case the SMH was not working and I did not want to go thru all the hassle of installing the HP software to get it working. I could not install CV 6 because is not compatible with XCS 5.0
Thanks for the help guys. Points awarded.

Re: CVEVA v5 Direct Mgmt URL
I think If SMH is not working then it is difficult to open the CV for 5 or 4 versions, as even if u open the link it will try to authenticate with SMH.
I got the link from one of the internal document saying that for CV 4
Details
Command View EVA 4.0 can be accessed by typing the following address in the address bar:
https://localhost:2381/command_view_eva
So i hope that if you can fix the issue of SMH then CV link will work.
I am sure that CV 6 can manage the EVA and you can consider the Firmware upgrade using the CV6 for some time
As per the CV6 Release notes,
EVA4000/6000/8000 arrays. Support for EVA controller software 6.0x is added. Support for EVA controller software 5.03x and 5.1x is continued.
