Can I set raid0/1 and raid5 on disks in one ACP pair?
My customer buy a new XP512 with only one ACP pair. Can I set raid0/1 on some disks and raid5 on the other disks?
Another question:
The XP512 have 8 array group, can i know the disk's location in the DKU?

Re: Can I set raid0/1 and raid5 on disks in one ACP pair?
Hi,
AFAIK you can only have the same raid level on one array group, indipendently of the ACP, so you must choose between 0/1 or 5 for each array group.
For the phisical localtion: ask your CE to give you the xpinfo utility (or post another thread with this request and specify your OS) and you will be able to find some information on the mechanics, but why do you want them ? For load balancing purpose ? If this is the case, plan it before the lun creation and discuss this with the CE, he should know the better layout.

Re: Can I set raid0/1 and raid5 on disks in one ACP pair?
You can set raid5 and raid0/1 for each Array group independently of ACP pair, but you should verify the level of microcode witch CE.
Witch xpinfo -r it shows exactly the slot of the disk.
ex.
xpinfo -r
/dev/rdsk/c15t1d6 RAID5 2-4 R143 R153 R163 R173
The R143
DKU1
HDU4
Slot3
