Cannot Manage VA7100 through cvui / Commandview DSM
Hi all
i have a VA7100 which i cannot manage when issueing the "cvui" command. when i issue the command i can only see the "refresh" option and not the VA WWN or Serial#.
the VA is attached to a HPUX11.00 host and all VG's who's PV are on the VA is still accessable.
how can i stop and start the commandview DSM services or any other alternative?

Re: Cannot Manage VA7100 through cvui / Commandview DSM
Hello Kehad,
The HostAgent and OpenDIAL services/daemons are installed with Command View SDM. These services/daemons are started at installation and must be running on the host. If these components are not running on the host, they need to be started before Command View SDM will be operational. To start or stop HostAgent and OpenDIAL you must login as root or superuser (for HP-UX/Linux) or have Administrator Privileges (for Windows).I assume that you are running on HP-UX
HP-UX :
==========
To stop HostAgent and OpenDIAL, enter the following commands:
/opt/sanmgr/commandview/client/sbin/dial_trigger stop
/opt/sanmgr/commandview/client/sbin/HA_trigger stop
To start HostAgent and OpenDIAL, enter the following commands:
/opt/sanmgr/commandview/client/sbin/HA_trigger start
/opt/sanmgr/commandview/client/sbin/dial_trigger start
For Windows:
select Administrative Tools>>Services.
2. Select HostAgent and then click Start or Stop.
3. Select OpenDial and then click Start or Stop.
Let me know, if this helps
Thanks
