Clustered iSCSI servers for D8000
Two DL360 Gen10 servers (Windows 2019), each cabled to an HPE D8000 disk enclosure via SAS cables. Both of the servers can see the drives on the D8000. I want to provision the logical volumes with HPE Smart Storage Administrator and the cluster to recognize those logical volumes as clustered. When I run cluster validation on the storage I get:
The hardware is not compatible with Storage Spaces Direct (S2D).
Contact the hardware vendor to verify support for Device Identification VPD page 83h SCSI inquiry data.
I do not want to add all the disks from the D8000 as a cluster storage pool because letting windows provision the raid arrays results in terrible performance.
Thanks
