Clustering two Sun Servers with shared storage on the EVA5000
I have two Sun Servers (nodes)that are supposed to be part a cluster with its shared storage on the EVA 5000. I am supposed to run Oracle RAC on an active active Mode Cluster. I have been advised to evaluate both Sun and Veritas cluster softwares in Active Active Mode.
Can you please advise, with reasons, on what to choose?

Re: Clustering two Sun Servers with shared storage on the EVA5000
If you are not planning for a disaster recovery solution, like an Oracle RAC extended cluster, just use the Oracle Clusterware infraestructure.
We evaluated the options for a extended cluster and the principal limitation of veritas is the product cost. It's really expensive and for you environment, it won't provide too many advantages.
Try to stay out of veritas, this will also help to simplify the installation, and this will help at the time of troubleshooting.
