Hi,
you do not have to generate new license. License is "saved" in the array.

Hello,

if you have a valid licensed EVA you don't need to to anything. The licenses are saved in the EVA. You can uninstall CV 7.0 and install CV 8.0.

Re: Comand View 7.0 upgrade to v.8.0

Thank you all,
Another question,I am adding an EVA4400 XCS v09006000 to an existing SAN.
The switches are two AG757A (HP StorageWorks 4/32B SAN Switch) and I wonder if I must upgrade their fw,the version running now on the switches is 5.30a,is that version compatible with the EVA4400...??
Thanks.

Hello,

according to the SAN Design Reference Guide you can install the latest firmware version 6.2.0g. You can also take a look into SPOCK for more informations.
