Command View V8 downgrade

For data migration pupose between 2 EVAs, is it possible to downgrade Command View V8 to V7 without data loss on a EVA6100 XCS 6.110,

the CA licence is fixed to 60 days, compared to 180 days in CV7.

And then later upgrade to CV8

Re: Command View V8 downgrade

For an EVA6100 you can use Command View 7 or 8. There's no data loss or risk if you reinstall / uninstalll / delete / change to another supported version of Command View

When you start Command View it scans the SAN for available EVAs, connects to them and shows the information.

Just make sure that there are no scheduled jobs launched with SSSU or RSM that need Command View at that moment. And test the connection between RSM and Command View after installing a new version.

OK,

i was not sure that CV database loaded on EVA with CV8 remains compatible with CV7.

Thank you

Uninstal V8, then install V7 gives 180 days licenses
