Command View licence

Hi,

in upgrade of Command View 6.01 to 8.0 (then 8.02), the 60 days licence doesn't appear.

Is a new feature of this new year 2009?

Regards

Jean-Pierre

Re: Command View licence

No, I have seen something similar with a new installation last year ;-)

Don't know why the instant-on license didn't come up. It wasn't fatal, because the real license had been delivered and the fulfillment went fine - wheww.

Re: Command View licence

A problem with wrong WWNN given in the generated license.

The EVA4000 is running fine in waiting the good licenses.

Is there a potantial risk to upgrade EVA XCS firmware while this problem license ?

Re: Command View licence

An XCS upgrade is usually followed by an upgrade of the disk drive firmware. If you lose a disk drive as part of the upgrade, you cannot add the replacement back to the disk group while you are missing a valid CV-EVA license. I have not lost a single disk drive during firmware upgrades so far and I've been doing this for quite some time now, but one never knows...
