Command view EVA - finding failed disk
When command view EVA finds a failed disk. Does it show you part number of the failed disk? If it does where do you look this up?

Re: Command view EVA - finding failed disk
If the disk is completly failed, it will show no details on the "disk drive" tab. You'll have to see the physical label on the disk, or have a table done previously to know what kind of disk was on that bay.
If the disk is having errors or has lost one loop, the model is shown on "disk drive" tab.

Re: Command view EVA - finding failed disk
Part numbers you can check out on partsurfer.hp.com
However, usually the events generated via webes contain a model number of the disk.
These can be looked up on http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c00305257
and then correlated with a spare part number.
Don't forget to give points to posts :)
