CommandView SDM on Windows 2003 - GUI OK, Browser broken
Hello,
I have a VA7410 that I'd like to manage from my storage mgmt server that is running Windows Server 2003.
I've installed CommandView SDM 1.09.02 and can manage my VA7410 through the GUI when I'm logged into the storage mgmt server.
When attempting to manage through a browser (Launcher.html), I get the following error:
Error getting database reference from
[The message shows the fully qualified domain name rather than.]
Once by that dialog box, I get the expected window but it doesn't find the VA7410.
I've seen similar questions but the rest seemed to be related to SDM on HPUX and/or the GUI was broken as well.
Ideas? Thanks for your help.
Dave

Re: CommandView SDM on Windows 2003 - GUI OK, Browser broken
Hi,
the solution on Windows or HP-UX should be very similar in this case.
Just the file location is different.
Check the files
access.dat
and
commIpAddr.txt
for the used IP address.
It is located somewhere in
C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\sanmgr\commandview
A quick search will be helpful.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: CommandView SDM on Windows 2003 - GUI OK, Browser broken
Thanks for the help. The access.dat file was indeed missing the IP address of the client trying to use the web browser interface.
