Connecting MSA 2012 over CLI from Linux console
I've recently purchased a MSA 2012 with MSA 2300i Controller, installed it, but I can't configure it's IP address.
My OS is Linux, without graphical interface.
Using console, I'm trying to connect using 'minicom' program.
Here's what I've done:
1. Turned on MSA 2012.
2. Connected CLI cable, which was in the box.
3. Started minicom.
4. Changed configuration to use ttyS0 (COM1), with 115200, 8N1 settings.
5. Restarted minicom.
Nothing happened. I mean, no login request, no greeting, nothing. Just minicom interface.
How can I configure my MSA? Is there any guide or manual?
Thanks before, really need your help.
P.S. If I'd like to configure it with web-interface, what ip address I have to enter at the browser to get an access to MSA?
Is there any default set address for it?

Re: Connecting MSA 2012 over CLI from Linux console
I've connected MSA to PC and used http://10.0.0.2 to access it.
I've created vdisk, created logical volumes, now I have an array which I wanna see in my Linux OS.
Please, could you help me in steps I have to make to connect MSA to my server?
My OS is Debian.
I've installed open-iscsi, but can't discover my MSA with this command -
iscsiadm -m discovery -t sendtargets -p 10.0.0.73 (iSCSI port address).
It asks for a authentication, but I didn't find any users in Storage Management Utility.
I've tried to add my server as host in Storage Management Utility, but it asks for Host ID (WWN/IQN), but I don't know where to get it.
Thanks before.

Re: Connecting MSA 2012 over CLI from Linux console
I've got problem configuring MSA 2012 again.
I need to configure it with CLI, because I don't have a remote access to the web interface of MSA 2012.
Is there any guide or HOWTO for configuring MSA with CLI?
Thanks before.

Re: Connecting MSA 2012 over CLI from Linux console
Now I have another problem.
I have one vdisk, which is created with 4 disks in RAID 1+0.
This vdisk consists of two volumes 1 Tb each.
I need to merge this volumes.
As I have understood, I need to delete one of volumes and then expand another.
But I have data on one of them and I need to save it.
How can I get volume details - such as disk space used and disk space free with CLI commands?
Thanks before.
