Connection of two EVA on local LAN

Hello,
I have two EVA 4400 and two iscsi IP gateway mpx100. I configured each ipgateway with one EVA and connected the two ipgateway on local LAN. I configured the route in mpx manager(basically gave the remote GE1 port as route). I also made the Gport enable as per ip gateway configuration document. Now as soon as i update the route information, the GE port become offline in EVA command view. I have two management servers for each EVA.

Please help me so that my both EVA can talk to each other through MPX100 ip gateway.

Re: Connection of two EVA on local LAN

The MPX100 is a FibreChannel/iSCSI gateway and cannot be used to bride two FibreChannel networks via IP.

The MPX110 is the FibreChannel/IP gateway and does provide support for FCIP.

What adds to the confusion is that the MPX110 for some reason calls it LAN ports 'iSCSI ports', too, but I think the engineers have been (told to be) lazy and not change the names.

Re: Connection of two EVA on local LAN

I disagree as the ip can travel via LAN or WAN. Below is the extract from user guide.
"The gateways are connected to each
other through an IP network (LAN/WAN)".
