Converting standalone sata disk to raid0 volume with e200i
Hello, Happy New Year to all of you..
I have one 250GB sata disk with a NTFS partition that was created on a workstation. I mean that the controller was not raid enabled.
I am trying to operate this disk on a ml110 with e200i raid controller.
If I simply plug the disk on the controller, ACU only see a unassigned drive.
Is it possible to have my NTFS volume ready under this configuration?
Thank you for your help..

Re: Converting standalone sata disk to raid0 volume with e200i
You cannont migrate disks from a non-RAID controller to a RAID controller keeping the data. The RAID controller needs to write RIS on the first sectors of the disk, that will destroy the partition table created by the other controller.
