Copying Server fo Disaster Recovery
Hi
I have a DL380 G3 R03 (257917-421) with an Array 5i card, and both disk sets Array A 0&1 and Array B 2&3 are RAID1+0. I have got hold of another DL380 G3 with an Array 5i controller. Can I take one of each disks, and place them straight into the new server and boot, or do I need to do anything specific first?
Your help is much appreciated.

Re: Copying Server fo Disaster Recovery
Hi Adam,
You can put the disks into the other DL380G3 and boot. There is no need to configure the array. The logical drive configuration is stored on the disks. The array controller will complain on POST that there is a disk missing from the mirror set you will be prompted to fail the missing disk, once you fail the missing disk the server will boot normally
