Could we use Hitachi "Device Manager" to management HP XP and HDS storage?
There are some HDS enterprise series (9900V*4, USP*2, USP-V*1) disk arrays in our SAN environment since 5 years ago. We are monitoring those storages via HDS “Device Manager” and “Tuning Manager” for both Capacity management and performance management. Few months ago, we purchased new HP XP 24K and HP XP 20K storage for new project and virtualized existing HDS storage behind then. My question is for central management requirements; could we use either existing HDS tools (Device Manager and Tuning Manager) or new HP tools (Command view XP advance edition and performance adviser) to monitoring overall storages?
