D3600/D3700 Disk Enclosure Mgmt USB ports

Good day,

I have noticed that we have some management USB ports on the some D3600/D3700 disk enclosures (1 per controller), these are currently not connected to anything, I can't find any documentation for these.

When connected unknown devices appear 'Quad RS232-HS' appear and if I run the HP Smart Update Manager (7.6.0) no drivers are identified for this.

Does anyone know how I set this up and take advantage of these management ports?

It is for service only.

If the chassis backplane is replaced, the serial no. can be set there.
