DL380 G2 Clustered package - upgrade question for Smart Array
Currently, we are running this hardware in an active-active config (Win 2000, Advanced Server) but are considering a change to a 3 or 4 node configuration with one node being the fail-over. I see for the new G3 Clustered package that there is this option for the Array:
4-Port Shared Storage Module with Smart Array Multipath Software for Smart Array Cluster Storage, Part #:292944-B21. It does *appear* to be an option for BOTH the G2 and G3... we will be upgrading to Win2K3 when this changeover is done (so it is now possible to have 4 nodes). My question: can this 4-port Shared Storage Module be used with the original MSA500, 14 drives(Ultra 3) and Win2K3 in a 3 Active, 1 failover configuration (N + 1) using this Array? Any links to docs. would be most appreciated or your experiences if you have gone this route.

Re: DL380 G2 Clustered package - upgrade question for Smart Array
I contacted HP here in Canada and the answer is yes..the 4 Port Storage Module CAN be used in a N+1 cluster config with W2k3 and the MultiPath software isn't required.
