DL380 w ESX - XP24000
Hi
I have to begin troubleshooting this combination. i/o performance is poor.
I have checked it is not specific to the file being used as i have checked this on the Dl380 local disk and i/o was fine.
Does anyone know of any gotchas/issues with the above. the Dl380's are connected through a fabric and currently everything is set to auto-negotiate?

The Multipath policy should be set to ROund Robin. That is really all that you need to set on the ESX/vSPhere end.
Of course on teh XP24K -- ensure your Storage Admin has set the Host Group mode to the correct value for vMware 0x1C I recall
