DS2100 and Windows 2000

Hi! I have got my hands on a DS2100 with 2x18GB disk. Want to connect it to a PC with Windows 2000. I connect it to the integrated SCSI controller and it shows both in the startup of the machine and in the Device Manager of Windows 2000. Problem is the disks doesn't get a drive letter and therefore doesn't show under My computer. An idea on how to fix this?

Did you have a look on disks in the disk administrator? I believe this task can be done from there.
BTW, make sure you terminated another SCSI connector of DS2100 - it has one SCSI bus inside going through the chassis

That's 10 points to you my friend. Your tips worked very well. Didn't think of it myself. Do you know if this also works with XP Home/Pro.

Yes, you can. There' disk administrator, computer management, device manager. Maybe layout changed a little, but you'll easily find these applications/tools
