Re: DS2300 reporting temperature difference via EMS
this event is erroneous because your DS2300 has only one controller installed. You have some options to stop event spamming:
- install second controller (take that one you replaced and install it as second controller);
- supress these events in ems (set it up to ignore this #306 event);
- live with it until new BCC firmware will be released

Re: DS2300 reporting temperature difference via EMS
Thank you very much for the reply. I'm releived to know that there is no real failure and the event reporting is erroneous.
Looks like the firmware for ds2300 BCC is not available on the net. The option left to me is to suppress the reporting for event #306. Can anybody point to a document explaining this procedure?
Thanks in advance for the replies.

SolutionGet the file /var/stm/config/tools/monitor/default_dm_ses_enclosure.clcfg and find this event. Modify string as needed. I'm do not know if you need to restart monitor (you can use monconfig)

Re: DS2300 reporting temperature difference via EMS
Thank you very much for your help. As you said I connected the second BCC and observed that the teperature is detected properly (i used /opt/sanmgr/commandview/client/sbin/cvui fir this). Also the error reporting by EMS also stopped.
As of now I have disabled the event #306 in /var/stm/config/tools/monitor/default_dm_ses_enclosure.clcfg .
Hope there will be a new release of the BCC firmware immediately!
Once again thank you for your help.
Best Regards,
Sunil Kumar
