DS3610 Slow Write Speeds
I have a DS3610 Disk enclosure attached to a HP DL380 G10 with an E208e-p Smart Array running Centos 7. The disk enclosure is configured with 6 8TB SAS 7.2K LFF SC 512E DS HDDs in Raid 5 configuration. I am experiencing very slow write speeds to this array. I have patched the OS and applied the latest firmware. Below are the hdparm -tT and iostat results. The device is saturated based upon the iostat $util. What could be causing the slow write speed as given by the iostat w/s value? Any help would be appreciated.
hdparm -tT /dev/sdd
/dev/sdd:
Timing cached reads: 16072 MB in 1.99 seconds = 8079.71 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 122 MB in 3.06 seconds = 39.92 MB/sec
iostat -dxz 1
Device: rrqm/s wrqm/s r/s w/s rkB/s wkB/s avgrq-sz avgqu-sz await r_await w_await svctm %util
sdd 0.00 256.00 0.00 120.00 0.00 6120.00 102.00 10.43 101.38 0.00 101.38 8.33 100.00
