Re: Daisy chain two SureStore E SC10
it depends on the configuration of the SC10.
Since a fully loaded SC10 occupies 12 SCSI IDs, there is not enough room for another SC10. The only choice you have is to configure both to split bus mode, one with the setting "high addressing mode" on, one to off. Now you can connect one half of a SC10 to one half of the other to one HBA. You will need two HBAs to do this.
Have a look at the manual:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpg28398/lpg28398.pdf
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Daisy chain two SureStore E SC10
Currently we have one SC10 which has two BCC card. This SC10 is configured for split bus. The 2nd SC10 which I plan to daisy chain also has the same type of configuration, except the 2nd SC10 has the "high address mode (switch 4)" set to "off".
On the 2nd SC10 I am assuming I should leave the "Tray ID" to "0" (same as the 1st SC10) due to the "high address mode" set to off (low SCSI
address) it will not conflict with the 1st SC10.

Re: Daisy chain two SureStore E SC10
Don't care about this switch, it's not used here.
You are right, one system have to be set to high address on, one to off.
Manual page 79 - disk addressing - is WRONG!!!
I'll attach the correct information.
(notice the BCC addresses in high address mode)
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
