Hello,
I´ve a problem with a RAID 5 over 3 Disks. At first it looks like a drive dosen´t work correctly. The Drive in Slot 1 is out of function. After replacing the Drive I became the same error. So I think the Slot 1 in the Drivecage is the problem.
My Question is now, how can I roaming the defect Array to use Slot 2 in case of the defect Slot 1 without loosing data.
Thanks for your Ideas an
Bye
Thomas

I am afraid you are out of luck. Drive roaming only works with intact arrays. Anything else is gambling.
You might have heard about instances where people have pulled a disk from a mirror 'for backup'. It seems to work when you put the disk back into the same slot, but not otherwise.
I strongly suggest you take a full, verified backup before you start experimenting, better get the hardware fixed.
