Difference between ACP pairsand CU

Can anybody tell me whats the difference between an ACP pair and CU. How are these to related to each other??

And selecting LDEVs should done relative to CUs to keep the frame balanced...
I am a little confused here and I am not sure whether I have put thoughts into a question correctly???

Re: Difference between ACP pairsand CU

Hello

the ACP Pair (Array Controller Pair) is the Pair of Controllers where the Disks in the Canister Units (CU) are Connected to. Each ACP Pair can support serveral CUs.

Re: Difference between ACP pairsand CU

An ACP pair handles all of the I/O to the backend of the disk subsystem.

A CU is a logical "partition", for lack of a better term, of the disk subsystem used to address your physical volumes into Logical Devices or LDEVS.

Hope this helps...
