Hello,
Is there a need to have an occupancy level of minimal 90% prior to do a disk/controller firmware upgrade. We have a customer with an eva4000 and a 95% occupancy level on one of the diskgroups. Should this be an issue during firmwareupgrade. I can find nothing about it in the software upgrade guide but maybe one of you had an issue with this.
Some details:
The current firmware is xcs6000
There is no more space left in the shelves for additional disks so expanding the diskgroup is an issue.
Please let me know,

Solution
Its not mandatory to have occupancy level below 95% during firmware upgrade, However its recommended to have some more free space in the disk group for better Array backend activities. Its important to have a healthy Array before do the firmware upgrade.
