EMC Symmetrix devices not available on second HBA

I have recently allocated additional EMC symmetrix devices to an rp7410 server running HPUX11i. The server connects via 2x FC HBA (A6826A) to the EMC DMX 1000. The existing EMC devices appear on both HBA's when doing an ioscan or inq. The new devices only appear on HBA 1, after doing insf -e and ioscan/inq.
no error messages are apparent in syslog.
Both HBA's are set up the same.
Why are the new devices being seen on only 1 HBA? What to check for? reboot is not possible at this stage!

Try to use this command:
#symcfg discover
#powermt config
#powermt display
#powermt save

Not using PowerPath - using PV links (but not correctly set up as yet by sys admin).
SYMCLI not installed on this host. Can already see the DMX as it picks up the existing disk devices on both HBA's and the new devices on 1x HBA.

You can try the following ,

# rmsf path ( The paths are showing NO_HW or not sensing).
# ioscan -fnc disk (check)
# insf -e
# symcfg discover
# powermt display ( check for any dead path)
# powermt check (checks and corrects dead path).
# powermt config
# powermt save

If doesnt solve pls letus know some more details.

The missing path is BLANK. the devices are seen by HBA1, but not by HBA0, they are not NO_HW.
As previously stated PowerPath (powermt cmds) is not installed. server has been up for 122 days with existing devices from the DMX. It is only the newly allocated devices that are not being "seen" by one of the HBA's.
Firmware/software/patches etc remain the same/unchanged betweeen the two HBA's.

I assume that each HBA is attached to a different director within the EMC array.

Have the new devices been presented out of each path from the EMC?

As not visible by HBA0 , it seems it has to configure /allocate from EMC ECC [EMC Control Center ]console.

The devices configured for this server are provisioned through symcli commands and are presented to each FC HBA wwn. this was checked on the vcmdb database of the DMX. the devices were unmasked and unmapped then re mapped to directors and then remasked to the wwn of the HBA's this has been checked by EMC representative.

resolved problem by unmasking devices from HBA that could see them (from the DMX) then running insf -e on server. Path that could see them reported "ACCESS_DENIED" "faulty" path reported the new devices.
Re-masked devices back to firstHBA and server now sees all new devices on both HBA's.
