EMC tools

Hi all,

is it a tools equivalent to xpinfo for EMC array ?

I'm not familiar with xpinfo, and I could find any doc's on it, but EMC has a lot of tools to manage their storage arrays. Talk to your EMC dudes about ECC.

As Harry has mentioned, ECC is the tool that EMC uses. It has some really good features. We have it and although I'm a command line person, this is not too bad!

Yes, you want a tool called;

inq
or inq.HP
or syminq

You can download from emc.com (search for it)

If you have solutions enabler or SYMCLI installed on of your hosts connected to an EMC symmmetrix frame , you will get tons of commands to get symmetrix information .

ECC is a good product . Its a GUI based product but it needs and gets all information from the solutions enabler or SYMCLI .
