EVA 3000 2C6D
I'm wondering if it is possible to configure an EVA 3000 as 2C6D?
Some one told me that this possible using a loop switch?
and HP support are telling me that this is not supported and not implementable?
Thanks,
Farid.

Re: EVA 3000 2C6D
AFAIK is this not possible. The EVA3000 scale up to 56 disks, which means a 2C3D configuration. AFAIK is there no way to use loop switches, but correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Patrick

Re: EVA 3000 2C6D
If you need to go beyond you either upgrade to an EVA5000 (new controllers and recommended loop switches) or you replace your EVA3000 by an EVA6000 which scales up to 2C8D.
Note: An upgrade from EVA3000 to EVA6000 is possible but usually not done! It takes quite som time and planning! The replacement is usually the more economic and straight forward way.
Cheers
Peter
