Re: EVA 3000 and secure path
Are you installing it on a Windows system?
It is a real basic install.
The proper order would be (if your building the server from scratch)(and for Windows)...
1. Leave the fibre cables unconnected but install the fibre cards.
2. Load up the OS and any service packs.
3. Grab any needed security updates and patches.
4. Load up the EVA Platform kit Drivers (QLogic or Emulex). At this point, you do not need to reboot, but feel free to since HP suggests it.
5. Load up Secure Path 4.0c and reboot
The Installation will consist of several steps...
1. Basic Installation Wizard
2. Prompting for installation of AutoPath, select No since you have an EVA.
3. Set your agent password
4. Set the clients that are allowed to access the agent.
5. Reboot
As for doc's..
Main Secure Path site...
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/sanworks/secure-path/index.html
From there, you can get to most of the docs for Secure Path.
