EVA 3000

I have just bought a second user EVA3000. I have all the parts.

However because i do not have a rack i do not have a World Wide Name lable with the info on it.

I would also like a quick overview on all the connections.

Hi Nick,

The hardware configuration documents appear to have been removed from HP's website for some reason - or I'm just not searching properly !

Anyway, I had a local copy, which I've just uploaded here:

As for getting hold of a WWN, that is tricky. I had to do the same as you and in the end had to borrow the WWN of another EVA.

If you search online for the string 5000-1FE1 you should find links to documents that contain a WWN that you could use - for example there's one in here:

However, you'll have to guess at the Checksum, in order to enter it into the controllers :-(

You might also find a WWN and CheckSum on the label on a disk enclosure...

found the WWN number and checksum on one of my encloures, dont say it.

New issue, when going into command view eva, it says i do not have the rights, any ideas?

Command View Version 7? Then you have to add the (Windows) user to the (Windows) "HP Storage Admins" group.
