EVA 4000/8000 Virtual Disks appear as double in Windows 2003

I have created a single test virtual disk using vraid5 with a capacity of 2047GB.
I then presented this virtual disk to a host.
When I go into disk management on the host and do a Rescan disks, TWO 2048GB disks appear, how is this possible?

Windows platform? A single Fibre Channel adapter which has connectivity to two EVA controller ports?

It sounds like you did not install the correct multipath filter, because a plain Windows system does not know how to deal with multiple data paths.

Yes, this is a Windows 2003 HP Proliant DL380 with a Fibre Channel card. I am not sure what you mean by installing the correct multipath filter? Yes, there are two controllers on this EVA system. Could you point me to an article or provide more description, thank you.

Of course, to date all EVAs have been sold with two controllers, but I was talking about two controller PORTS.

Yes, a link to the documentation is on the left of the page - choose "Manuals".

This link doesn't seem to help, the manuals aren't even related to the command view EVA software, nor do they instruct on proper configuration's for the EVA hardware.
Thanks' anyway.

You need to instal EVA-specific MPIO software, which will cure Windows schizophrenia about seeing two drives instead of one:

Install the MPIO drivers like raadek proposed

So what! You have not asked how to deal with the EVA and the problem of multiple devices cannot be fixed by playing with CV-EVA.

I have told you what to problem is and where to look for more information.
