EVA 4400 controller enclosure
One of the EVA with 1 disk enclosure (4TB CV license) and other EVA with 2 disk enclosure(Unlimited commande view license).
Now we want to consolidate the EVA as one EVA.
EVA with 1 disk enclosure(4TB license)is very critical.
The plan is we will disonnect this EVA 4400 controller enclosure (Both the controller only)
then We want to connect the EVA 4400 controller enclosure with unlimited license to this EVA.Then I will conncet the disk ensures also with this EVA. Other EVA controller (4TB licensed)we will keep it as spare. Then this EVA will be the unlimited license and we can create the LUNs.
Is this scenario is working without data loss.?
we are interchanging the controllers only becos of the license? We need unlimited licesne?
If it is not working what is the best solution??

Re: EVA 4400 controller enclosure
To get access to these disks you have to group them.
All data will be lost.
You can not move data this way.
Create a new Vdisk on the unlimited eva
and move the data under host control from one eva to the other.
Sorry

Re: EVA 4400 controller enclosure
I am looking for changing the license from one EVA to another. How I can do this?
Becos both the EVA WWN is differnet and License registring using WWN of the EVA.
Now I want to use the unlimited EVA license to another EVA which is having 4 TB installed. Can I interchage the licese???
