EVA 8100 300gb drive
I replaced a 300gb 15k drive this weekend and the firmware needs to be upgraded. I have never done this before. I was wondering if there is a Manual that I could go to that will give me instructions on upgrading the firmware.
This is the message in the log. Thanks for any help.
An unrecognized Fibre Channel physical disk drive firmware revision has been detected by the physical disk drive firmware load process.

Re: EVA 8100 300gb drive
Maybe your XCS verson is too old - what firmware does the EVA have?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: EVA 8100 300gb drive
The message means that the disk has a newer firmware version than the one on the EVA firmware tables.

Re: EVA 8100 300gb drive
Thank you for the information. It looks like the disk is OK based on the information provided. Will have to dig a little more to find out what the Attention is for.
Thanks again
