EVA Spec. "Device Path Aggregate Bandwidth"

What does "Device Path Aggregate Bandwidth" mean in EVA specifications?

The EVA4400 that has four 4Gb Backend/Device Ports - for the EVA4400 the aggregate bandwidth is 16Gb.
Same principle appears to be applied for the 6400 (8 device ports of 4gb - 32Gb agg. bandwidth) and 8400 (12 device ports of 4gb - 48Gb aggregate bandwidth).
So it's not for the host ports because that'd be the same for the 6400 and 8400.
