EVA X000 versus X100

Is there any way from Command View to tell if an EVA is a 4000 versus a 4100? Same goes for 6000 and 8000 series.
I know the X000 series came with 2Gb Host Ports versus 4Gb for the X100 series but that is not definitive enough given the dependencies on the SAN.
We just inherited some EVAs and I am trying to figure this out remotely.

Hi,
41xx/61xx/81xx using the enclosure hw type 04 and the 40xx/60xx/80xx using the enclosure hw types 02-03, it should be reachable via the SSSU CLI
the pain is one part of the reality

most probably SSSU command ls diskshelf

more accurately said the enclosure modules hw type is the differentiator in above

Quickest way: Serial number of the controllers.

The first 4 digits give you the controller model. I don't have the table here right now, will try to post it later

Re: EVA X000 versus X100

CA395 / CB5A8 = HSV200-A = EVA4000
CBA24 = HSV200-B = EVA4100

Hmmm, don't see those codes. Here's the snipped outputs from SSSU: ls controller full
For the 4K:
serialnumber .....: P8BC8F2AARX02P
serialnumber .....: P8BC8F2AARU012
For the 8K:
serialnumber .....: PB5A7D1AATM87X
serialnumber .....: PB5A7D5AAURA1S

Re: EVA X000 versus X100

P8BC8 = HSV200 = EVA4000 (2 Gb ports)
PB5A7 = HSV210-A = EVA8000-A (4 Gb ports)

The SSSU command is 'ls diskshelf full'. The object is 'iocomm > iomodules > module > hardwaretype'

Thank you very much for the info.

From your post, hardwaretype 03 should be an EVA 4000 but I show one of my arrays as hardwaretype 03 with 4Gb host ports? Is there an EVA 4000 with 4Gb host ports? I thought all 4000's have 2Gb host ports.

Not that I doubt anyone's knowledge in this forum, but is there a white paper or manual from HP that I can use to validate and use as reference that shows this HW type and the associated EVA type?

Is there a reference paper from HP that you can point me to that lists these codes as related to EVA type? I would need it to use on our internal documentation site as reference.
