EVA disk mechs in a VA array
Hi,
Has anyone tried using disk mechs from an EVA in a VA7110?
I know I'll need to swap the caddies over, only I can buy FC disk mechs from an EVA a lot more cheaply than I can buy similar sized VA ones. I believe yhey both use the same 40pin connector. It would just be a question of whether there would be any firmware hiccoughs.
Cheers
Ken

Re: EVA disk mechs in a VA array
Hi, I don't know.
But maybe if we're lucky we can compare the model numbers on the disks via this website?

I am very unsure if the VA disks are included in there but maybe?
