EVA (hsv110) serial conections parameters

Hi

were trying to connect up to the UART serial connection on an eva to monitor the tunnelling information going out the controller. we needtyo get the serial pin out connections for the hsv. does anybody know what they parameters are ? whether there dte connections or dce connectors aswell ?

Please stay clear of the HSV maintenance port!

There is no command line interface - it is a primitive debug console. If you don't match the baud rate, you risk sending characters that can reboot one or both controllers or even hard-stop the entire storage array!

Be forewarned, playing with the UART interface is NOT recomended.

Last time I had to connect to it, I believe I used the standard Brocade SAN Switch cable. What the parameters are as far as communications is concerned, I don't remember... It was late at night, the EVA was booting up in debug mode and I was on the phoen with HP Support in the wee hours of the morning.

If it is nothing that can be considered as illegal or damaging to HP, I would definitely call HP Support for assistance.
