_Sounds_ like the controller is happy with at least one functional battery.
But a better test is if you really _write_ onto the virtual disks from the server. Write a signature, create a partition and filesystem and dump some files on it.
After I inserted the secondary Batteries, the Status in Command View imidiatly changed to "Good". I can suggest this method to anybody not willing to pay for new batteries (if you can even get them anymore) and not worrying about support. Thanks to everybody for help with this.
