EVA4000 licensing issues
HI
I have EVA4000 disk array and i have purchased 1TB LTU, currently i have about 860GB total but when i installed my license it giver error that Licensed capacity exceeded.
I cant create or present Vdisks to any other hosts and i know i have not yet reached the 1TB upper limit.
I also have CA license 1TB ltu but no matter what license i get from webware.hp.com or hp password delivery center nothing works,
I am running Command View EVA6 is there somethingl ike a patch i need to install to work around this???
Please assist
Kind regards,
James Gicheru

Re: EVA4000 licensing issues
Hi James,
Command View EVA6 doesn't enforce the EVA LTU... in fact I don't recall anywhere to actually install licenses on that version...
Maybe something's getting confused in CA.
Cheers,
Rob

Re: EVA4000 licensing issues
sorry my bad,
the commandview EVA version is 7
the issue is 1TB licence(1024GB) but my total raw capacity is 1093GB so i am not able to create or present vdisks to any hosts
is there a way round it or i have to add another 1TB ltu??

Re: EVA4000 licensing issues
You have to add another CV-EVA 1TB LTU at least. CV-EVA counts against the complete physical disk space unlike CA + BC which count against source virtual disk space.
