EVA4400 initialization failed
I face a problem while configuring the EVA4400 for the first time, here is the history....
1- before installing the CV license i initialized the storage from the command view. it shows arround 800GB out of 8*146GB disks.
2- i got the license for 1TB and i installed it. but the same size shown 800GB
3- i uninitialized the storage from the command view.
4- i tried to initialize again i face a problem with error message --> initialization failed no available space for initialization.
anybody tell me what is this error and how to overcome this.
thanks alot

Re: EVA4400 initialization failed
Have you checked via the EVAs onboard web based manager that it has actually uninitialized the system?
It sort of sounds like it didn't actually clear the EVA config and that somehow it is still stuck with the default disk group and therefore you don't have any spare drives left to create a new default disk group.
By the way the 800GB sound about right. The 146GB is decimal based so equates to roughly 136GiB (binary based). If you have single level protection enabled then you lose twice the capacity of the largest drive in the disk group. So at VRaid0 you would have roughly 816GiB of available disk space.
