EVA6000 extend size of LUN

Hello,

If I extend a LUN presented to a windows box from 10Gb to 20Gb is it destructive ?

Im 99% sure it isn't, but I have not found any documentation to guarantee this.

I did read that it needs to be extended in 1Gb increments though, surely this is incorrect ?

Many thanks,
Nick .

Re: EVA6000 extend size of LUN

Nick,
expanding an existing virtual disk is not destructive for Windows systems, because the file system is embedded in a partition table. It _can_ make data inaccessible if an operating system cannot deal with a grown disk.

A virtual disk _can_ be expanded in 1 GigaByte increments, but it is not necessary if you want to increment by more - you just enter the new desired size into Command View EVA and hit [save changes].
