EVA8000, VMS, LUN Limit

Can anyone give me some logic around why in the Feb SAN Design Guide it says there is a 512 LUN limit on VMS and in the June Guide it now says 255? We are able to use 4 (or more) HBAs and create two host names on the controller and present way more than 255. What is the limiting factor?

Gary,

I don't know for sure, but it could simply be down to a qualification issue.... i.e. HP only support upto 255 under OpenVMS (the best O/S in the world).
